Free Trade Regimes with EU and CIS Markets
The Republic of Moldova benefits from a preferential trade regime with the European Union called Autonomous Trade Preferences (ATP) since 1 March 2008 the. This ATP regime allows the export of almost all products originating from Moldova to the European Union without quantitative restrictions and customs duties. The ATP was extended until 2015, and will most likely be replaced by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) for which Moldova is currently holding negotiations with EU. Apart from that Moldova is a member of the Central European Free Trade Agreement since 2001.
